Rebekah Elizabeth Beaumont
Rebekah Elizabeth Beaumont, called Becca, is the adopted youngest daughter of
René Beaumont, the current Master of Mobile. She is also the second childe
of Wesley Wyndham-Pryce turned by him after a severe car crash left her near
death in July of 2020. Lastly, she is the consort of Lucian Ross, Master of
Annapolis, and well on her way to becoming the Queen of Maryland. And she is
the ex-consort of Ezekial "Easy" Sinclair, childe of René Beaumont,
their split being final in December 2019 after almost three years of marriage.
Born the fourteenth of July, 1984, in King George County, Virginia, Becca spent
her earliest childhood amongst the elite of Virginian society and her teenage
years amongst Old Mobile society. In 2002, upon her graduation from McGill-Toolen
Catholic High School, Becca was accepted into the prestigious Johns Hopkins
University Medical School in Baltimore. Here, she found her first real acceptance
as a person, not a member of the wealthy Seabree family. To her, Baltimore is
her first real home. Graduating well-placed, if not the top of her class, in
2007, Becca moved onto an internship with the University of Tennessee's Forensic
Anthropology facility, commonly referred to as "The Body Farm," before
joining the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in 2010. In 2012, after
working a particularly gruesome child-murder case, Becca was promoted to Deputy
Chief Medical Examiner for Mobile County, a position she held until she left
to join the teaching staff at Johns Hopkins University in 2017. She left this
position in March of 2019, when she moved to Annapolis; however, she is available
for forensics consultations, mostly with the Maryland State Police.
Physically, Becca is a petite, barely 5'3", green-eyed blonde with waist-length,
almost curling hair. Though it is less apparent now that she is a vampire, she
is still the pale dramatic beauty that she was prior to her death. She tends
to dress more casually now--jeans and comfortable shirt--in a lot of black and
dramatic jewel tones to play up her pale skin. No matter what season, she will
wear either a leather bomber jacket she stole from one of her many adopted cousins
or Lucian's black leather trenchcoat. She is considered a decent shot with her
preferred weapon, a Remington 7006 pump-action rifle that was a gift from Wesley
Wyndham-Pryce, despite her not having the accuracy of Wesley or her paternal
grandmother, Baby Roxton. Like most members of the family, she was also taught
to handle a pistol, in her case a Glock 9, and a knife. After a quiet discussion
with her adopted father, she also took up the study of the martial arts. A true
empath, Becca usually knows when someone is planning to assault her and will
often be gone before the attack happens unless she can't avoid it. Prior to
her move from Mobile she tried to avoid using that talent, relying on her own
physical skills instead; however, her recent use of those powers to re-connect
her to René Beaumont has given her a greater respect of and affection
for her mental abilities.
After the break-up of her relationship with Easy, Becca's empathic gift was
finally properly trained by Annapolis' second-in-command, Richard Yuma. It is
thanks to this gift that Becca has an unusually tight bond to her sire, Wesley
Wyndham-Pryce, which resulted in their being telepathic with each other in addition
to the usual empathic link. After she was turned, she recreated the light empathic
bond she had with René, giving the elder vampire a bit of his lost family
back after his death and resurrection. Finally, she is uniquely linked to Lucian
via their consort bond. Though her bond to Lucian is nothing like the deep empathic/telepathic
link she had with Easy, Becca can still feel and sense nearly anything that
happens to him; though thanks to Yuma's training, she isn't overwhelmed by the
connection like she often was with Easy.
